6 Expensive Skin Care That will make You Feel Unreal | Glow Regime

A lot of us, even I thought expensive skin care is a myth until I found these. Because certain raw materials or the process it goes through to make itself skin friendly may be much costlier and hence the result skin care product. It’s still of course our wish and opinions that matter at the end.

So, I will be discussing my Top 6 Expensive Skin care I have personally used and loved.

Thermal Water

Thermal waters have been my saviors lately after I started tretinoin. For the sandwich method, even before I use moisturizer, I go with thermal water on my bare skin and my skin just loved it. Hydration and calm in just one product!

Thermal waters have a lot more benefits than we think and trust me, your skin will love it no matter what skin type you have, it will also help in better penetration of other products you use.

Uriage Thermal Water – This is the thermal water which I am currently using, it’s almost been a year, and I will be definitely repurchasing it again.

Avene Thermal Spring Water – Avene also has a range of best thermal waters and has really good reviews than uriage but I haven’t used it. For those, budget doesn’t matter and want brands like Avene can go for this.

Serum

numbuzin No.6 Deep Sleep Mask Serum

I had a lot of pigmentation and tan, so initially I focused a lot on brightening products which removes tan and speeds up cell turnover and started using them after a lot of scientific research along with some home remedies.

I was able to bring back my real skin tone and felt happy for it, but something was missing and that’s the glow. My skincare section only had products like kojic acid, vitamin c, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, caffeine etc., and simple moisturizers.

I never had hyaluronic acid, thermal waters and rich hydrating moisturizers. When in search for that, I got to know about this Numbuzin no.6 serum which is a deep sleep hyaluronic acid mask.

Initially when I started using it, I couldn’t see any results and just hopefully kept using that and eventually my skin started to glow (Pov: I also followed a proper and consistent skincare regime along with other mentioned product).

The product might have taken time since my skin was extremely dull just by over using exfoliants, but it really works and is also worth the hype given to it.

Essence

COSRX Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence

I’m not a very big fan of toners but essences are something different. They just drench into your skin but feels very watery and gives that lit look from within. These products are the main culprits behind all your influencers’ glow.

Again, internet hype made me buy this product, but this will always have a special place in my heart, and I will say you why. Lately when both my under eyes got extremely irritated due to tretinoin and my skin couldn’t handle tretinoin anymore, I just stopped it and tried using slimy silky serums but in vain.

So, I decided to use very minimal products I can and wanted those to be both hydrating and calming (I stopped focusing on brightening). That’s when I used Cetaphil cleanser, Uriage Thermal water, Cosrx essence and finally Bioderma moisturizer.

Cleanser

Cetaphil

That was basically my recovery skin care regime and that worked phenomenal, and I was able to bring back my skin in a week and was again able to continue with tretinoin.

Moisturizer

CLINIQUE Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion

I have spoken about this moisturizer a lot of time and you will know how good this formula is only when you use it. I know that it is a lot pricer, especially for a student like me. But I buy it because of how good the formula and the product is and its quantity. The bigger bottle will last me for at least 2 years I swear.

That is a lot of quantity, and my combination skin requires very little, even smaller than a pea size for both my face and neck since I will be using it on my damp skin.

Bioderma Sebium Hydra Moisturiser

Yes, this is a pretty small amount of product for the price we pay, but the product itself is too heavy and thick so you will only be needing a very little quantity even if you have extremely dry skin.

This is formulated for dry skin but is non comedogenic hence even suits me (I have oily to combination skin type). The rule here is the quantity you take and to apply it on damp skin.

Now coming to the point why it’s on this list, this product is my holy grail when my skin gets irritated while I’m on tretinoin. For those who don’t know, tretinoin is a form of retinoid which is extremely potent and can sometimes irritate your skin.

The top layer of your dead skin cells will eventually shed off, and new cells gets replaced. This helped me to deal with my pigmentation and dullness and gave me that glow from within.

So, while on tretinoin, my skin turns extremely sensitive. This moisturizer saves me on those hard days when each and every product I use still heats up my skin only this calms down. Just wash your face, apply a decent quantity and that’s it!

In a nutshell, this Bioderma Moisturizer is extremely soothing and calming and can bring back your damaged skin barrier. This will be a holy grail for people with dry, sensitive, acne prone, irritated and red skin.

This is a lotion like moisturizer, and I generally use it on days when I need minimal skincare. It just calms down and hydrates skin like nothing else and sit on your skin for an extremely good time. Though being a lotion, it is not greasy and just feels like nothing but hydrated. Just heals your skin so much and very fast.

Dry to normal skin can use it any time of the day but for combination and oily skin types, it works well when included in your pm skincare regime.

Cleansing oil

ANUA HEARTLEAF PORE CONTROL CLEANSING OIL

Lately in this festive season when I started wearing a lot of makeup than I ever used to and started with my new waterproof tinted sunscreen. My skin started breaking out from nowhere, I thought the problem is with the products I have been using but a lot of clogged pores appeared.

I then used a clay mask, washed my skin twice, used exfoliants and peeling solution and my skin turned normal. The next time I wore makeup again the breakout was even worse, that’s when i got to know that my makeup has not been removed properly, and I searched for a good cleansing oil.

After a week of search, I finalized with this Anua cleansing oil since its consistency is very thin and feels lightweight (I have oily acne prone skin which also breaks out very easily). But I made a mistake initially which made me think that my decision went wrong.

I massaged with this oil for 3 to 5 minutes and emulsified it with water and used a cleanser and followed up with my regular skincare, but my breakouts started worsening. The mistake I did was in the cleanser I used post oil; the cleanser should be strong enough to take out the oil residues left on your skin, best to go for water or oil-based cleanser!

So, I switched it with Benzac 5% cleanser and trust me my skin has never felt so supple and soft before. I would just die for this product now and will be repurchasing for sure.
